# Quickstart

1. **Sign in**

   Open [mixetape.com](https://mixetape.com) and sign in with Google, GitHub or an email code.
2. **Connect a channel**

   In the workspace, go to **Channels → Connect**, pick the platform, and sign in there with
   the account that owns the channel. There is nothing to set up on the platform's side:
   every channel connects through mixetape's own app.

   Your agent can do this too: `connect_channel` returns a sign-in link to hand you. See
   [Connecting channels through an agent](/connect-an-agent/mcp#connecting-channels).
3. **Create an API key**

   Go to **API keys**, name the key after the agent that will use it, and tick the
   permissions it needs — see [API keys and permissions](/concepts/api-keys). The key is
   shown once; copy it.
4. **Add mixetape to your agent**

   For Claude Code:

  --header "Authorization: Bearer mxt_…"
```

   Any other MCP client works the same way; scripts can use the
   [REST API](/connect-an-agent/rest-api) instead.
5. **Schedule a post**

   Ask your agent, for example:

   > Schedule https://example.com/episode-12.mp4 on my YouTube channel for Friday 17:30 WIB,
   > titled "Episode 12".

   It calls `list_accounts` to find the channel, then `create_post`. The post appears under
   **Publish** in the workspace, where you can cancel it until it goes out.

> **Media without a public URL**
>
> If the video is on your machine, the agent uploads it to mixetape storage first
> (`create_upload`) and schedules the `r2://` URL it gets back. See [Media and storage](/concepts/media).
